I was skeptical about these cable ends at first but I ordered up a few of each color to give them a test drive. My local shop installed a red one for $39.99 but unfortunately the red ones are "race only" cable ends. Their classifications are laser-etched inside the cap. My bike didn't handle right with the race-only end cap because I wasn't racing so I took my bike back to the shop to have it removed. My shop only charged me $25 to swap the red end cap out for the blue one. On my first ride everything was going fine until I came up on a saber-toothed snatch-beaver & as luck would have it, they are very threatened by blue things. Who would have guessed? Fortunately, most saber-toothed snatch-beavers are crossed-eyed and cannot give a very accurate chase so you can usually outrun them. If they get within snatching distance of your bike you can usually scare them off by yelling obscenities at them in Portuguese. Realizing the blue cap wasn't going to work in the long run, I headed back to the shop where they said if I made sure every bike on the sales floor had exactly 30psi in them they would give me the team discount & upgrade me to the gold end cap for only $15. I was so excited about this upgrade that I also offered to wash/wax everyone's cars at the shop & luckily they said yes. My first several rides with the gold end caps were very good but people kept stealing them selling them to pawn shops because, as few people are aware of, the gold end caps are actually made out of 24k gold. I asked the guys at my shop if they could order me a black end cap & they said they were on back order until last week but if I could to pay the extra $20 "back order reversal fee" they could get me two black end caps for just $29. I jumped on that deal lemme tell ya. About six months later my black end caps arrived & I was ready to start riding again! They were so worth the wait! The black end caps are "enduro-specific" and even matched my sweet new kit AND my enduro fannypack. Now my bike handles much better on the straight sections because of these cable ends. My suggestion would be to stop reading lengthy & erroneous reviews like this one & get yourself some of these sweet ano cable ends & give your bike that extra bit of pizzazz. Happy trails to one & all.

Standard cable ends, for the price you can't beat it. Thank you price point for adding free shipping over $50.
These are better-priced here than elsewhere... although I would have liked availability of silver. Unfortunately, the color coating can flake off. Still very useful, and not too expensive.
Just bought these cable ends in the red color and they look great on my bike. I would recommend this product.
