Alligator I-Link Cable Set
Whether you're looking to replace your worn out cables and housing, or had a mishap on the trail, Alligator's 5mm I-Link cable/housing set is 50% lighter than conventional cable and housing and is built with a Polymer liner for friction-free performance. The cables are P.T.F.E. coated for improved linear response and the Interlink alloy housing won't compress the way standard housing can.

perfect for things like BB7s. Buy 2 sets since these only come with enough links if you use cable stops on your frame. For full length, double up.
Okay, first, the instructions are kinda junky. Don't cut the metal housing, just work the pieces apart. I've seen a lot of people curse these until they figure that part out. Second, though the housing and liner are great, the cables have a bad tendency to snap, completely tearing-up the liners. Save yourself the headache and put in better cables. Keep these cables in your toolbox for trailside/race-day heroics. Finally, when you measure these, measure with the housing compressed and when in doubt, go one link long. When installed, they look great and thanks to the included bumpers, don't rattle you off the saddle.
I use the outer links with Gore shift cables and liners and the combination shifts really well. Unlike the Gore housing, the I-links don't need periodic trimming or replacement. They do compress slightly after they are installed, so you may have to adjust the cable tension during your initial rides after installation. One of these days, I'll try them as a complete brake cable system.
