These are not the lightest rotors. They do not provide the best stopping power or modulation. But they are very affordable, and they work well considering what I paid for them. These are not as good as the rotors that came with my Shimano hydraulic brakes, I feel the Shimano's stop better and give more control. I put these on my commuter wheels and they are absolutely usable, but I wouldn't buy them for my primary wheels based on the noticeable performance different I've felt. If you're looking for inexpensive rotors that work, look no further. If you what the least expensive rotors that will work as good as a mid-range rotor you're replacing...spend a little more.
I love these rotors, I have them on 2 bikes and they work great. I do warp and bend a lot of rotors so I don't treat them like they are going to last forever but these lastest 3 seasons on my Giant Faith with stroker Aces. I am 230lbs and an expert rider in Whistler. So these rotors were put through hell and survived. I got about the same life on my stock Avid rotors.
Good rotor for the price, but beware they absolutely howl if you get them wet. Other than the noise, they didn't warp and were pretty true right out of the box. Good rotor for the price.
I am cheap and didn't want to pay $35-$50 for rotors on my extra wheel set. These are the ticket. No issues and no warping. Great buy.
These work just like most more expensive rotors, why pay more.
Really strong rotors. doesn't heat up a lot. And I'de replace pads if your doing rotors. and even overhaul your pistons on your breaks. I did and havn't regreted it at all!
These were a nice super inexpensive upgrade from the 160's I had. Better stopping power, wore in nicely. Good product.
These rotors are all you need. They work great, don't warp, have great stopping power, and are reasonably light. I have no idea why you'd spend 3 or 4 times more for 'name brand' rotors.
Got 2-160mm rotor's to replace the one's on my bike they look better than the Hayes rotor's they replaced and think this rotor weight's a bit more . After 9 year's on the original's was time to get new one's as they where looking a bit wore out and saw this so cheap I thought I'd give them a shot and glad I did . Alligator may not be a well known brand but they do a nice job on what I've gotten from them so far .
