Alligator Serrated Disc brake rotors are engineered to have superior strength, and to dissipate heat quickly. The serrated design also helps keep the surface of your brake pads clean and smooth.

The work just fine and look cool. We are using them Hayes Stroker Trails and have had not problems.
I'm a somewhat aggressive rider, and have been using these rotors for years. I switched from stock Avid rotors in an attempt to get rid of the turkey gobble, and the Alligator rotors did the trick. I chose them because they're light and they're inexpensive. I put them on a couple bikes. Today I'm buying another set to replace a pair that are approaching the end of their life expectancy. I have 3,600 miles on this set, and they've worn from 0.072" down to 0.055". That's 3,600 miles of hard riding.
Used these on my bikes and have working great. Wt savings, nice look and very good stopping power. Have been buying the smaller 160mm rotors, but I could see having problems with vibration and wobble if you go to a larger diameter. But with the 160s, it no problem
I have these on all my bikes. Light weight and good stopping power. I light that in wet conditions I don't get a lot of squeal from them.
These alligator disc brake rotors are great for the price and durability wise, and a great look. i would recommend to other buyers:)
Upgraded my front rotor to this and love it. Light, cool looking and decent stopping power.
Rotors look cool and are light but 1). At slow speeds you can feel the brake lever pulse quite a bit. This is due to the brake pads constantly making interrupted contact with outer tooth like profile of the rotor. 2). This causes uneven wear of the brake pads and rotor, much more wear on the outer diameters. 3). Your brake pistons will then be subjected to a diagonal extension and cause them to stick. You will have to do a lot of maintenance with these rotors.
Function and form! These aren't nearly as "stoppy" as my Formula rotors, but they look twice as good. They serve my XC bike well considering weight and stopping power. They're quiet, they look good, and I'd definitely buy them again!
replaced my old avid discs with these, great replacement, lighter and thus far no squeeling.
I've been putting my bike on a diet, and bought these to replace my stock Shimano rotors, in order to shave a few grams. This is a very light rotor, with a minimal amount of pad surface area. I've found that it works great for my purposes, but I ride in northern Indiana and southern Michigan. There are no huge downhills were I might have to worry about heat buildup and fade. For my riding, they work great. The rotor cutouts mean that they tend to pulse a little bit during harder braking, but I'm never on the brakes for more than a few seconds at a time, so it's really not a concern. Modulation is consistent and predictable. The quality looks good, but due to the minimal material, they will be more prone to bending in a crash. As long as you understand the limitations, I think these work quite well.
Very pleased with bb these rotors. Not only distinctive styling but allows for single finger stopping without fade. Dissipates heat well and has not warped from condtant steep descents. Great deal for big stopping.
I bought these rotors because they were light, but ended up switching back to the stock Avid rotors. The alligator rotors didn't stop as well and have a certain vibration or pulsation due to the shape that I didn't like. They would be ok for a lighter rider who is willing to put up with them to save a few grams.
I bought these after I put disc brakes on my mountain bike. I didn't follow the bed-in procedure correctly and the rotors were causing a lot of squeaking. I liked the look of these and thought I'd give them a shot. They brake very smooth and quiet. The only negative I would say is that they don't provide as much stopping power as a rotor with more contact surface, but that's kind of obvious.
The rotors weight are consistently as advertised, Their performance is good for a light weight rotor. They will heat up under heavy use and aren't super strong against bending as you would expect from a rotor this light. For XC and moderate trail riding a really good product
Bought this to replace the stock Avid rotor that came w/ my Elixirs. I was getting the dreaded "turkey warble" sound and bad shuddering under hard braking. Nothing would fix it--sanding the rotors, new pads, re-bedding, etc. Bought the Alligator rotor based on some web reviews that said it was a good fix for the problem. Success--works like a charm. No more noise--just nice/smooth, quiet braking with no shuddering. The rotor does seem a little thinner that the Avid rotor, so it took several stops before the calipers adjusted themselves. But once broken in they feel great. I assume the thinness means it won't last as long either, but for the price who cares. I can't tell a difference in braking power--seems the same. Better modulation since the shuddering has disappeared. Great price--no complaints.
Looks cool and doesn't create the turkey gobble noise but they don't stop as well as the Alligator Wavy rotors. On the plus side, the braking power is very consistent whether you're on slow cross country or bombing down long hills. The Wavy rotors feel like they get more touchy when they get warm. These don't seem to glaze the pads as fast as Wavy rotors either.
Great price and look but I tried this rotor alongside the stock avid rotors and noticed increased pulsation due to the shape and less braking power. I expected it due to the reduced surface area.
Used these per recommendations that they would eliminate Avid brake turkey gobble and vibrations on my Specialized Stumpjumper. Worked like a charm. Over a year on these and they have been trouble free. I will say that they eat pads due to their shape, but I will take it for the silence!
Excellent rotor for the price. Lightweight, Easy to install, Good stopping power, looks great too.
