Great Entry Level Disc Brake - Apr 16, 2014

I bought a set of these to use on my cyclocross bike that i use mainly for commuting, and have been overall very pleased with them. Stopping power is great, but I've noticed that they are a finicky with getting them dialed in properly. I had hydros on my mountain bike and they were much easier to set up. Overall, these brakes are a great buy for the price and will provide superior stopping power over canti's.

Surprisingly Good - Jul 13, 2013

I broke my rear brake, so I made a trip to the bike shop. They gave me this brake and some housing, not realizing that they had given me the road version for my mountain bike. I didn't realize either, until I got home and did some research and found out that it was the road version. I threw it on my bike anyway, and guess what, it worked great! It probably isn't as good as it should be because it has a Shimano rotor and isn't even made for a mountain bike, but it still stops the bike, which is all that I really needed. I would recommend these, because they work great, just if you are going to get them for your mountain bike, you might want to get the mountain bike version.
