BROCK F.

There is a lot of bad mouthing going on out there about Avid brakes, and I will agree some of it is necessary especially when it comes to the their lower end models. But for the Code R brakes things are very different. The lever body is just a repainted Avid elixir 7 with the standard Code 4pot calipers but don't let this deter you from using these brakes. I have been running these brakes for a long time now with no issues at all and the feel of them is fantastic. The levers feel strong and compared to the Shimano style levers these are much nicer for those with big hands. I have these brakes on my Kona operator but these would be just as good for any all mountain bike as well.
