Avid Disc Brake Bleed Kit
The Avid shop kit includes everything you need to bleed your Avid disc brakes.
Or better yet, switch to Shimano! Lol. You're probably not going to do that, but if you're a fence-sitter, let me convince you--switch to Shimano. If you insist, though, get the pro kit here: http://www.pricepoint.com/Brand/Avid/Avid-Professional-Bleed-Kit.axd
This simple bleed kit took some practice to perfect, but ultimately did a good job of getting all the air out of my system and the return of a positive lever feel.
Yup, that about covers it. I think the DOT fluid causes the hoses to shrink, or maybe this setup is just crappy. The whole Avid procedure is built on pulling a vacuum on the system, and you can't do it after about the second time without pulling in air: exactly what you don't want to do. Super frustrating.
The connectors on the syringes leak air and oil. This system is good for a single use bleed at best. I added small zip ties to both ends of the connectors get the best results. I was only able to get one bleed out of this kit before it was leaking so bad I threw it away. It was still a cheaper option than my LBS but I can count on my LBS. Perhaps the pro kit is better. I would not recommend this kit.
