Complete on-the-fly brake lever tuning is finally available at an affordable price. Avid Speed Dial 7 Lever's no tools leverage adjust allow you get your levers "dial in" on the trail without tools.
I've only recently put these on my bike so I can't talk about their longevity, but as far as feel and adjustability, I love them. They went on very easy and they work great. Can't beat the price either!
These levers are fairly basic but they feel very nice on the fingers. When I pulled them out of the box a was very pleasantly surprised by how light they were. the breaking is quick and reactive, what more would you want? They work good and are a great price.
These levers are a must for mechanical brakes. They feel very tight, the levers don't wobble or anything like that. The levers are very adjustable, which really helps decrease the on/off feeling that mech. disc brakes have. I have these paired with the BB7s, and its a great combo. Very low maintenance, easily adjustable and inexpensive. Highly recommended.
I've been using these levers for years and can say confidently that these levers are the best. I love the multiple adjustments available to the user on these levers. There is an adjustment for cable tension, lever reach, and modulation. The adjustments available allow the user to tailor performance to just about any user's preference. Another great thing about these levers is the bend zone in the lever blades and the ability to replace the blades without the need to replace the entire lever as a whole. These levers work for both Direct Pull / V-Brakes and mechanical disc calipers. I'll put these on every build I do from now on and hope they never become a discontinued item. I love these levers!
Great levers great price.
I bought these with my BB7's, and haven't looked back. Great feel, easy to set up and the adjustment knob works perfectly. Highly recommended with BB5/7's!
They are great levers, love the fine tuning I can do to my brakes. They have survived several crashes and not snapped.
sturdy and lightweight. the ultimate in adjustablity. these combined with bb7 brakes are as good as mechanical gets! 2013 prices are better then 2014 for the same quality! no brainer!
I was afraid of buying such inexpensive brake levers at first, I didn't want to be jeopardizing my safety in an emergency situation. However, after miles and miles of trail later (and several nasty crashes), these levers have not even hinted at letting me down. Their easy to set up and fit all kinds of hand sizes and braking styles. Great quality at a super cheap price.
Great quality, awesome price. Used with BB7's best thing. My brake system is the best quality parts of me and my brother's bike. Why would you buy the 2013 ones when the 2012's are cheaper?
Great levers especially paired with bb7's. Plenty of lever there if you are squeezing with two fingers or grabbing them for dear life. Easy tune and the color is pretty sweet too
Great price and performance. The adjustable leverage mechanism via the red adjuster makes for easy fine tuning of braking power and modulation. It's easy to get the feel and power level that you want under varying conditions, ie wet vs dry.
Set them and forget them. Get the lever feel you want and great brake modulation, especially with BB7's
Used these SD7s in conjunction with my BB7s and they are amazing! They provide a much better feel to my braking than before. Glad I made the purchase.
Had them about a year now. They have a great feel/pull and I love how easy they are to adjust! Never crashed on them yet so I can't say how they hold up to that. I have been down a few times & the bar ends take the damage! Overall worth the price if you like simple and reliable! 5 stars considering the price....
I've been using these levers for several years paired with my BB7s. I like the idea of the red knob modulation, howeverm I have never actually got much usage out of it as I always have the knob as high as it will go. Look great and feel great. I finally tested their durability with a crash the other day and bent the right lever way out of wack. There was no cracks or breakages so I bent it back into place and they've been running strong ever since.
