Azonic Quick Release Seat Clamp
If your rig is decked out with Azonic components, then their quick release seat clamp is the cherry on top. Made from 7075 aluminum, it does the job with style just like all its Azonic brethren.
As with a lot of other people the plastic spacer that the clamp rotates on crapped out pretty quickly. I was actually on a trip to Flagstaff which was about a 2.5 hour drive for me, and when I got there my seat wouldn't tighten. Luckily I was able to rotate the plastic part and it worked for that ride, but I just ordered a new ridiculously expensive Crank Bros one that seems like it should hold up well. You get what you pay for.
This clamp replaced a stock clamp that even though i'm not too concerned about weight, was quite noticeably lighter.
Holds seat in place well. I wish the tension spacer was metal instead of plastic though, could become a weak spot.
I wouldn't buy this again. Feel apart and never worked right from the get go. Not sure how you could screw up a seat post clamp, but they did. Finish was nice, looked cool - But that's all it really had going for it.
This clamp has great look but the ano wears down after some time. Good quality overall for the price though!
Been running this clamp on my SETTE REKEN frame and post for over three years now, and never had it slip once. Lots of miles, and heavy pounding is no problem when you install it on a clean, dry post and seat tube from the beginning. Very positive clamping action too. All that I was looking for in a seat clamp.
Had an entry level Haro I was building up / replacing parts. Clamp was a different color blue than advertised, and didn't work well at all, despite double-checking the size, etc. Seat would slip throughout the ride. Went back to stock clamp and never looked back.
The blue ano is more of a turquoise. It lasted a month of normal use on my wife's bike. The plastic spacer provided gets shredded fairly quickly. My wife has been using it for the last week without it and it requires more force when closing than she can apply. If you're looking for another clamp, I'd look elsewhere.
