The Bell Segment utilizes a series of interior EPS foam segments connected by a reinforcing skeleton, allowing the helmet to flex and conform to your head while still meeting safety standards -- including the ASTM F2032 BMX enhancement.
I'm not sure what else you'd want it a helmet. I find it very comfortable, fairly light, and ventilation is good. You could spend more for a fancier helmet but they all protect you pretty much the same.
I first bought this helmet to try out and get away from the normal bikers helmet with the funky shapes and front bill. Turns out i like this helmet very much. It is more comfortable, nice & snug and feels just right. It came with extra padding, but the sizing was good from the start and have more replacement padding for later. I use this for both casual riding and some cross country and trails. Overall, im happy with this helmet and will be getting another one a back up. You cant beat the quality and comfort for the price.
You really can't go wrong with this helmet at Price Point's sale price. Its sort of a hybrid between a traditional Pro-Tec style skate helmet and a normal bike helmet. The shell is thinner and much more flexible than the "skate" helmet, and the interior is made of individual segments of typical bike helmet foam material (8 segments around the sides and one on the top). The padding is very soft and provides a comfortable, true-to size fit. The biggest downside with this design is that it doesn't breathe very much and can get very warm. The matte grey finish looks nice and has an almost rubberized feel to it.
