Though the line between gravity mountain bikes and cross country machines has been blurred the last couple years, most associated equipment is still high-contrast--either overbuilt for DH gear or wispy light for XC. The new Bell Super aims to split the difference, riding that all-mountain line perfectly. If you're an aggressive all-mountain rider or enduro racer the Super was made for you.
The Super's Integrated Camera Mount seamlessly affixes your GoPro camera in the perfect spot without the need for messy double-stick tape or zip-ties. The removable breakaway mount clicks into the Super's top vent, leaving no trace when not in use and putting the camera in the ideal position to capture your ride.
The GoggleGuide Adjustable Visor System allows riders to manage their eyewear with minimal intrusion on their ride. The flexible system accommodates both goggles and glasses, and works either with the visor installed, or without, using the included goggle retention arms. Simple, effective, cool.
The Super's Overbrow Ventilation system is tuned for trail riding and actively ushers cool air over the head via four intake ports on the brow of the helmet. A specially designed bridge keeps the ducting free from obstruction while the Super's air-channel matrix works in concert with the helmet's 25 vents for maximum high speed airflow, as well as optimized passive ventilation at low speed.
If you're going to buy the Bell Super, you've chosen well. It's great for Enduro racing and is also a favorite of trail/XC riders looking for additional coverage. Do you need goggle too? Check out our extensive selection of goggles here.
I originally thought i wanted one of the POC helmets, that was until i tried on both the POC and the Bell Super. The Super blew it away, the fit, the materials, the ease of adjustment. i had to really rethink everything i thought i wanted in a helmet. I went with the Super, my only regret was waiting so long to upgrade my helmet.
this helmet is the most comfortable helmet ive ever worn lots of protection on the back of the helmet and goggle compatible way to go bell
Growing up I raced motocross and always wore Bell helmets. When I transitioned into MTB I looked at other brands but the one I felt most comfortable with was a trusted manufacturer. Bell helmets are stylish without compromising on safety. The fit is great and knowing I have a product that is tried and true helps me ride with more confidence.
You know that low hanging branch, you hit it squarely on your head not once but damn near every time, yep. This helmet has taken some sold brain jarring impacts with little more than a scuff. The ratchet works as one should, the adjustable visor is a nice touch. Also I like how I can hose it out and hang it to dry, keeping funkiness down, nice!
I bought this helmet last year, and since then I have ridden it four days a week eight hours a day during the summer and to and from school and all day rides on the weekends through the winter. It has been a great helmet it fits me well, I can use my 100% goggles for enduroing, and the ventilation is great. My biggest provlem with this helmet is that it is eisily damaged, I have never crashed in this helmet *knocks on wood* but the Speed Dial Fit system is falling out of the helmet and the shell is quite scratched up, this is unsafe and it causes it to sit lopsided on my head. Another small issue is that the helmet looks huge on my head even though it fits fine. Despite these problems I would still recommend this helmet, Bell customer support has been great at helping me solve these issues.
I bought this helmet back in July, and by now have lost count of how many times I've worn it. It fits so well and is so comfortable, I forget it's there. Thankfully I haven't had to really 'test' its ability to protect my melon, but I've used the GP mount, ran a light in its place, and have also used the goggle 'shelf' multiple times, all of which worked flawlessly. The visor's adjustability has allowed me to use it to block the sun, and to also move it far enough in the other direction to keep it from resting on my goggles like so many other helmets/visors do. I personally don't know of an all-around/mountain/enduro helmet that does so much so well at ANY price.
