Bern Morrison Helmet
If there is one thing that people recall most when reminiscing about the late Jim Morrison, it would be that he valued a cool head very highly. The Morrison by Bern was created with this value in mind. This helmet has 16 vents, which delivers more than twice as much airflow than Bern's other leading models. The Morrison uses the same mold as Bern's popular Allston helmet. Zipmold technology creates a thinner, more tapered, and lighter helmet, with a higher strength to weight ratio than in-mold. A performance liner offers a customized fit with moisture control and airflow.
True to form, the Bern Morrison fits exactly like its other winter/all season lines. A removable liner allows you to wash it out after a few too many hot rides, or insert a winter liner when things get cold. Bern's helmets are designed to be lower profile, and cover more of your head than competitors. I can say this runs true compared to Smith. You feel much less like a bobble head, and it's real nice to have full side/back of head coverage for mountain biking; not many helmets offer you that much coverage. The helmet fits snugly around your head, not on top of it. This may sacrifice a little ventilation, making this helmet not quite as breathable as some others. Not that I have yet to overheat or notice it, and I think it is a small price to pay for this level of protection. All around a sleek helmet, I have it in the white/black and get a good amount of comments on the original look. Overall I would rate this helmet 10/10. I couldn't expect anything more out of a mountain bike helmet.
