Crank Brothers Candy 2 Pedals

The Candy gets a new wrapper but keeps the same delicious flavor that you know and love. The resin body has been replaced anodized CNC machined aluminum for increased durability and a higher bling factor. Performance remains the same. You get 6 degrees of float and depending on how you orient the cleats there's either a 15 or 20 degree release angle. The Candy 2 pedals roll on a steel spindle with a bushing and cartridge bearing system. Should they ever need to be serviced, Crank Brothers has designed them to be very easy to be maintained. The included cleats are the same as always and will fit any 2 bolt, SPD style shoe.

  • Aluminum body
  • Stamped steel wings
  • Stainless sleeve

I have had many Crank Bros. pedals and I find that they work very well. The weight is low and they just plain work. Consistent release, and I love the orange!

Awesome set of crankbrothers pedals... never clog and the simplicity of them means little pieces never break

Don't get me wrong, these pedals are worth it, but I got one that was a bit tougher to get out of than the other. Without an adjustment, you can't fix it. The nice thing about these is the platform gives you plenty of ability to pedal without being clipped in on a steep start or if you are planning on needing to get out in a hurry, you can unclip and still have plenty of pedal to stand on. I would buy again for sure. The extra "bling" looks good, but maybe more colors!

Has potential but... - Jul 15, 2013

Good support, great weight and wonderful float. Lots of sharp CNC edges that WILL cut your calf. I had to take a file to all the edges to round them over. I suspect that the particular aluminum allow is pretty soft because whenever I smack a rock , a nasty sharp edge is created. Here in Pennsyl-rocky, this is a problem. Lousy bearings and spin. I had to put a spacer between the two main pieces to get the bearings to spin freely. I am going back to TIME ATACs even though they are heavier dollar for dollar.

the pedals hold really well, but also nearly "eject" the clip with about 15-20 degrees of twist. easy in, easy out. and good power transfer. and they look good.

These are the best pedals you can get for the price. Very easy to rebuild is anything goes wrong. But most of all they just seem to always due what I want. Whenever I have a nasty fall I always manage to get my feet out and whenever im in a rough technical section and need my feet in they never release to early. Rode with spd's before and these are a thousand times better, and better looking in my opinion.
