Crank Brothers Cobalt 2 Zero Offset Seatpost
Crank Brothers' first dip into the world of rigid seatposts wasn't just a tentative toe dip into the shallow end of the pool but more like a nine ounce cannonball off the high board.
The Cobalt 2 is the lightweight aluminum post in their line up. It's machined from a single piece of heat treated 7075 aluminum and features a ridiculously simple and highly adjustable single bolt clamp design.
One very innovative feature of the Cobalt's clamp is what the Brothers Crank refer to as "the bridge" which is essentially a flying buttress style support for saddle rails. It's very quick and easy to install but be sure to read the directions because it's a little different than every other seat post on the market.
