CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer
The Fluid 2 trainer will soon become the most valuable tool you own for indoor training. The Fluid 2 uses a 2.75 lb individually precision-balanced flywheel for great momentum and stability. New for this model is an improved position of sealed-cartridge bearings for better inertia and a super quiet ride. Fluid levels have also been adjusted for more resistance. When you spin your wheels on the Fluid 2 Trainer, it feels like you're actually getting somewhere.

Why it's good - as a fluid trainer, it mimics the road, which is leagues better than training on a mag trainer. It's GREAT because you get Saris support, which is the best in the business if anything goes wrong. Why it's not good - it takes some time to 'warm up', and the power resistance curve isn't constant. That might not matter to you if you train with a power meter, but if you use any software that uses a virtual power curve, it is an issue.
I have been using an older model of this trainer for 2 years and it works flawlessly. The faster you make the wheel spin the harder it gets. The resistance is very consistent, so you can track your increases in speed over time if you care to. I have also used it for intervals both speed and cadence, it has never let me down and I don't think it ever will. I love it so much that I bought one for my wife this year as well. The new model is just as good as the old, but I think the resistance is a bit easier at slower speeds and simulated actual road results more accurately. They both feel the same, but at equal effort my wheel is spinning 3mph faster with this newer trainer than with the older one 19 mph vs. 16mph. I love the clutch nob as well. perfect tension everytime. no guessing, inflate tire to 110 psi turn knob until you hear click and you are done. Don't think about it just buy this trainer, you will never need another.
I bought this a few months ago to whip my butt into shape and it works great. Its easy to set up and as quieter than any trainer I've ever used. You really get a great work out, my only complaint is there isn't any distance tracking of any kind.
This is a great trainer, go on the internet and you'll find this to be one of the top 3 trainers made. It's silent, and it can be very challenging if your game, and it's priced right. Mine is 10 years old and gets used every winter and it's held up fine, they did have some problems with seals leaking on the older versions but they re-engineered the unit (thus the 2 in it's name) and now it's great. It appears on the photo they added folding legs which mine doesn't have and would be nice to have if you plan on putting it in a trunk to travel with. I wouldn't recommend out of the saddle sprints, it just doesn't feel right when attempting that; but it does provide a close to actual road feel. I've heard the new video is better than the one I got which was boring, so I may buy a new video and see how it goes. Combine this with a HRM and your all set to do easy low level workouts, pace workouts, to intervals. It does come with a lifetime warranty which they do honor without hassle because a friend of mine has an older one (original version) than mine and his seals blew, they sent him a brand new unit.
Good price and great product. Easy to assemble and use. I recommend also getting the front tire block and a mat for under the bike to protect your floor from all the sweat that will be poring off your face! Also comes with a good race day DVD that is very challenging.
This is an excellent trainer. Easy to set up even for a first time trainer user. Quiet. Provides a great workout for those days you can't get outside. Very reasonably priced for what you get.
