DeFeet Blaze Charcoal Socks
The DeFeet factory in Hildebran, NC burned to the ground on October 18, 2001. That’s not how DeFeet named this sock. The Blaze™ is a jack of all trades; the Hans Dampf of the sock world. This sock enjoys widespread use at events like Cyclocross Nationals, adventure races, turkey trots and New Years Day marathons. There are athletes who do all of those events and use the same pair of Blaze socks to do them (washing between events... we hope). Rebuilding from the fire is a storied chapter in DeFeet's history and the Blaze is part of that.
These wool-blend socks are nice and thick. In fact if your shoes are tight/form fitting you may not be able to wear these socks. They're definitely warm. I wear them with casual shoes and mountain riding and love them.
