It's a little ugly. And a bit unstable. But for the cost, there's nothing out there that so quickly frees up all that space in your 400 sq ft apartment. There are more elegant solutions, but they usually involve drilling and screwing. This is tool free, unless you want to install the included tether. I figured I'd forego that property damage. Won't I look like such a fool after the next big earthquake? Yes. Yes, I will.

Unobtrusive rack - May 07, 2013

I really like the design of this rack. I bought this for my 1 bedroom apartment which has limited space. The only two ground contact points are the furthest points from the wall, so any weight between the wall & the 'feet' keeps this rack stable. I have a 19" Giant up top and my wife's 13" Trek underneath. It took a bit of fiddling to get the bikes to not touch each other while hanging while still clearing the 8' ceiling when removing the top bike. I recommend this rack for those who don't want to drill into walls.
