Easton EA70 XC Front Wheel 2012

Sure, anyone can make a really expensive, super light wheel. But how many can deliver a super light, incredibly durable, sweet riding wheel for little more than the change tucked into the cushions of your couch? The all-new EA70 XC wheel is a full 150-grams lighter than the wheel it replaces (the XC2), yet features a wide 18mm internal rim width for optimized tire profile. The EA70 XC's rim also features an enhanced shape and a welded seam for maximum strength in rough going.

  • Front Hub Fit: 15x100mm

I made the ultimate gaff and left a wheel at the trail head... gone. I went looking for a quick, inexpensive replacement to get me back on the trails and stumbled across this deal. I don't have any experience with high end mtb wheels. My old hard tail was rocking Mavic Cross Rides and the Fuel EX8 that this went on was rolling on the stock Bontrager wheels. (I'm not ready to go tubeless yet so that wasn't part of my search criteria) Again, just needed something to that wasn't an eye-sore that could get me back on the trails. I pulled the trigger on the EA70 XC about six months ago now and it has performed flawlessly since day one. I ride in the south SF Bay area on trails that range from fire roads to "all mtn" and haven't experienced any problems what-so-ever. I would definitely recommend this wheel to someone that is looking for an emergency back-up or maybe looking to upgrade the stock wheel set and aren't looking to go tubeless.

Had these rims for about a year. Every time you put them under any stress the spokes pop right out of the nipples. Called the manufacturer on several occasions and never talked to a live person. Left several messages and never received a return call. Sent two emails directly to warranty service and never heard back. I understand that certain items have issues and at that point if the manufacturer fixes the issue then no harm, no foul. But to completely ignore a customer that has issues with your product. This company is a joke...
