Easton Haven 29 inch Front Wheel 2014

The result of Easton’s passion for engineering perfect solutions for specific types of riding, the Haven performs in any Trail or All Mountain situation. Featuring an internal rim width of 21-millimeters, the Haven wheel is wide enough for 2.5-inch tires but still exceptionally light at just 1,785 grams. These wheels are built to last, no matter how hard or reckless you ride. Other highlights include out-of-the-box UST tubeless compatibility (no need to fuss with special rim strips or sealants), high-quality Sapim double-butted spokes and sealed cartridge bearings. Like all Easton wheels, the Haven is built by hand using Easton’s proprietary acoustic tensioning and truing method.

Easton Havens - Killer wheel - killer deal. - Apr 23, 2014

4 out of 5 stars

These would have 5 stars if the 2012's that I bought were convertible to 12mm spacing without Easton trying to whack me 200+ for a new hub. Other than that, super smooth rolling, great seat with the tubeless tires, and nice bling that goes great with the Transition Bandit 29 frame that I just built up. Previously I had them on a Chumba HX2 and they held up even as I hucked my first hard tail in 15 years. Easton's equipment is top notch, and they have responsive customer service. We'll see how that goes not that Race Face has purchased them. If purchasing just make sure you have the rear hub that's after 2012 so you can change up the spacing.

I got these about 4 months ago and love the way they ride. Got a stick jammed into my derailleur that then broke a few spokes. Had to send it to Easton to be rebuilt for 100 dollars. Sucks but that is just bad luck. Easton did it quick and upgraded the bearings for free as well as replace the cassette body for free since it already had dig marks from my cassette. Would have given 5 stars but the rear hub keeps loosening between rides and the cassette body issue. Although that's what happens when you go with a light wheel, I just thought an all mountain wheel would have been a little more heaven duty. Tubeless installs pretty easy as well.
