Easton Haven 29er Front Wheel 2012

The result of Easton's passion for engineering perfect solutions for specific types of riding, the Haven will deliver in any performance Trail or All-Mountain situation. Featuring an internal rim width of 21-mm, the Haven wheel is wide and beefy enough for 2.5" tires but still exceptionally light at just 810 grams. Built from the ground-up to perform in performance Trail and All-Mountain situations. UST compatible rim requires no rim strip, eliminating more weight.

Unique Threaded Eyelet system employs a nipple that's threaded both internally and externally. The Haven employs conventional straight-pull spokes and can be trued like a standard wheel.

  • Front Hub Fit: 20mm x 110

Light and True - Jun 13, 2014

These are great wheels strong rims and nice hubs. Two problems. 1. Easton will cease to be a brand after this year. So don't expect to get much on resale for them. 2. The rear wheel in 2012 didn't have a converion to 12mm option from 135mm. Additionally some of the early hubs were on recall, they sent out a free patch, and mine never had a problem... Just be alert when you buy them. Front wheel flips from 15mm to thru to 20mm no problem. I've pounded these rims on a Chumba HT, and a Transition and they are still super true and round.

12 Easton Haven 29" Front Wheel M - Apr 24, 2014

Recieved this front easton Haven 29er wheel with 20 mm thru axle hub march 2014. Light, strong, true. I use it as a tube setup but it is a tubless rim. I use it this way because we ride rock and root gardens continuously here in ct. At the sale price it is a great value. If you break a spoke they are easy to replace. Haven't found any negatives yet.

Could be more solid - Apr 24, 2014

I have had a pair of these for a couple of years. They are light and tubeless. I mounted tires with relative ease and have run them tubeless since day one. I have had no problem with the front wheel but had to send the back wheel back to get rebuilt due to bearing problems. They redesigned the rear hub (good) and the replacement is working out well so far. The only other issue is a soft hub cassette body as it is aluminum - light but not as strong. I run a 32 tooth cassette and it wears on the hub interface over time.

Easton wheels are good, Easton Havens are Great! super strong, reasonably light and always true. I can't say enough about how much I like these wheels. They roll beautifully, and go exactly where you point them. If you have a chance, get a set.

Defective hub - Jan 13, 2014

I bought a set of these 2 years ago. I was disappointed when I was riding the trail, and found that my hub wasn't engaging. It just spun away. I took it to my LBS, and he told me that he's seen bunches of Easton wheels with this issue. The problem is the engagement is dependent on 2 small, thin pieces of metal for engagement when other hub builders have about 6 pieces of metal to handle the load. I ordered a rebuild kit which Easton readily supplied (they're aware they sold junk) free of charge. Not happy as these are supposedly premium wheels. They're ticking timebombs. Too bad as the rims are awesome, probably the best. I'm investigating de-hubbing these and mating them to Chris Kings because I love these rims.

Awesome Wheel - Sep 09, 2013

I recently purchased this wheel along with the matching rear for my 2012 Scott Scale 29er. I read many reviews from other sites and although some were afraid to buy because of the recall on the rear hub, I took a chance. These wheels really woke the bike up on the trails and they look awesome too. Some might say too flashy but I love showing them off. Price Point has been good to me as well, when I call they answer and deliver as promised, Thanks!
