I received this bike a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Quality components and it only took a few minutes to un-box and put together. Bought the frame in matte black and it looks awesome. The rear suspension lockout is key on long climbs also.

2013 Evolution - Apr 07, 2014

This is my third Ellsworth over the past 10 years. My two previous models were the Truth (26" version). My original Truth from 2005 is still going strong. I have passed this bike down to my son and he has not experienced any issues at all. I was a bit hesitant in going to the 29er, as I tend to gravitate to the tight, technical climbs and descents. Is there a difference, maybe in acceleration - can I tell, absolutely not. What I can tell is this thing climbs like a goat and eats the downhill with ease. The remote CTD shock works like a champ. I am very impressed with the Manitou Tower Pro. I have the Comp version on my SS, and the Pro is just a bit more plush. The total component package is, well Blah, but hey you are really paying for the frame at this price. The components are just extra gravy. If you are looking for one bike that can do it all, this is the one.

Almost there - Apr 02, 2014

The frame lives to the marketing hype. Climbing is the same if not a little bit easier than my XVP Spider. The XT / SLX / Race Face combo is solid. Tires, cockpit and saddle/post not up to par with the rest of the build but still a steal at this price.
