The choice of Ergon Factory Riders, the GA1 Evo grips have a more traditional shape compared to other grips in the Ergon line. They come in 6 colors and have increased damping characteristics thanks to the use of a new compound. Weight is greatly reduced through the use of a stable composite clamp that is carbon bar compatible.
These are nice grips. The 2015 model has the lock ring on the inside end (shifter end), which allows me to hang off the outer edge a bit. They are comfortable, although I would try to grab a pair to see that your hand fits. I had bad pain after the first ride, but not since. The grip is tacky but doesn't crumble or flake, and has remained unscathed through a few crashes. I have relatively bad carpal tunnel and these grips not only allow me to ride comfortably, but my hand also dont hurt afterwards, which is the key for me. Since purchasing these grips, my hands have felt stronger and I have had less pain from every activity. Prolly means in a couple years I'll have to get the xc version. Also, a concern of mine was they would be awkward when jumping. Not the case, they feel very natural.
