Formula R1 Disc Brake 2012
The R1 is the premier race brake on the market today. Despite its low weight, the R1 generates more than enough power and performance for all-mountain or enduro use. The forged radial master cylinder and 1-piece caliper gives the R1 durability, while the R1's patented caliper piston system increases fluid capacity in the caliper providing stability and fade resistance even on long descents.
Master cylinder:
- Forged radial master cylinder
- Patent-pending high capacity integrated reservoir
- New higher capacity (25% larger) fluid reservoir and new diaphragm for better heat control
- Removable handlebar clamp
- Flip-flop master cylinder assembly
- Forged aluminum lever blade with integrated tool free reach adjustment
- Hard anodized master cylinder piston
- Laser etched logo
Caliper:
- Forged one-piece post mount caliper body with 22mm pistons
- Cupped caliper pistons for increased cooling surface area
- Top and bottom vented caliper for maximum cooling
- Top loading pads
- Laser etched logos
- Aluminum backed pads for additional weight savings
