I put this shock on my Santa Cruz Bullit, used for high desert trail riding and fast downhills. I've used the Climb mode on some of our snottier uphills and find it about as efficient as a hardtail. In descent mode, I've yet to bottom it and yet the absorption of heavy drops is smooth but becoming increasingly progressive as the travel is used up. It's in the trail mode though that it really shines for me. Lots of our singletrack has deep whoops and our jeep trails have washboard. This shock soaks them up better than my previous Swinger with a titanium coil spring, which was by far the best I've ever had on this bike for these conditions. And it's almost a pound lighter! PS: The 5-piece bushing sets Fox sells for it are pretty slick too. Permits a near tool-less installation. Pat
