Fox Rampage Pro Carbon Helmet
Fox took their expertise in MX helmet design and leveraged it into the Fox Rampage helmet - a high performance, light weight fiberglass shell riding helmet that gives you full face coverage without the steep price.
The design of this helmet is a lot more sleek than the previous offering from Fox (V3R Carbon). The Rampage carbon is similar in size and weight to the TLD D3. The helmet vents well. Like any full-faced helmet, it will be warm if you're pushing your bike but once you get moving it won't feel like you need to rip it off midway through your run. I ordered a size medium based on the size chart. When I first tried it on, it felt tight in the cheeks but after a few rides and a wash, it fits perfect. I had a hard time pulling the trigger on a helmet that cost so much, but after a crash in a cheap old helmet and a concussion I figured $425 was worth protecting my head.
I got the XXL and it was still a little too tight, I realize its supposed to be snug but still it was a little to tight. It is a comfortable durable helmet. Also, as gets worn the chin strap can get difficult to loosen. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is the $425 regular price, although I bought it for $250 on sale. Overall glad I purchased it.
