Giro Feature Helmet 2013

The evolution of coverage and performance for long-travel trail riding. As trail riding progresses, helmets have to evolve. The Feature starts with a new shape that combines a little more coverage than traditional helmets, with vents that radiate heat up and out of the helmet; perfect for climbing at lower speeds. And when the trail drops, our rugged In-Form fit system offers one-handed fit and stability adjustment, so you can dial-in the perfect feel and stay focused on the trail ahead.

  • Adjustable moto-style visor for a better fit
  • In-mold polycarbonate Sheel with EPS liner for a strong helmet
  • In-form system offers a one-handed fit and stability adjustment
  • 12 Wind Tunnel vents with internal channeling that thrust cool, fresh air around the riders head while forcing heat out

When I purchased this helmet I was looking for a little added protection without a huge jump in weight or moving to a full face. This is exactly what I was looking for. Some complain that there aren't enough vents and it is hard to mount a gopro. I find that the number of vents is find and that I stay cool enough after hours of riding but don't think more would hurt it either. I like how the pads are all connected into groups because it minimizes the possibility of losing a small strip of padding. And finally, the visor is solid to keep you from smashing your face on a spill and is adjustable for goggles.
