The Xen glove balances a lightweight feel with the durability needed for all-day, all-mountain riding. The Super Fit engineered palm is made of supple Clarino and tailored to minimize excess material so you get maximum control and comfort.
You know about Giro gloves but did you know there are also Giro shoes?
Have had these since August 2014. I use these pair on every ride now in the heat of California and have not had a single tear in them. They look more padded than they really are, but have just enough in the right places! Only gripe is that the velcro on the wrist closure is useless now. So I don't even bother to use the velcro strap to close the wrist anymore... They work ok with my phone, but I have a Samsung S5 and need to put it in sensitive touch mode to get screen taps to register correctly.
Great feel and look. Padding and protection where I like it. Extra cushion in the palm is nice for the long grind. My hands are not huge, but felt the large ran a bit snug. The gloves may stretch out more after more use.
I'm a big guy. With that said, I have squatch hands. I've never had any luck with major competitors brands I.e. Fox, answer, azonic etc... I've been through two pair of these in xxl. First pair withstood about 4 months. But the second pair are 10 months going strong paired with hard compound odi Troy lee grips so for the money I'm impressed. These are sized a bit small so keep that in mind if you have long fingers or just cut the tips out.
Maybe I got a dud pair, or maybe 6 months is the life expectancy of biking gloves. Either way, that's what I got. They're both tearing in the same spot... at the base of the thumb where the black material is sewn to the seam in the leather palm. Now I have to get new ones. Maybe I'll try a different brand this time.
these are nice quality gloves, but not as well ventilated as I thought they would be. All the seams are neat, and the padding is well thought out. I would say they run small as far as sizing.
I love these gloves, I wear a medium set of work leather gloves and medium giro's fit me well.
Great gloves. Plenty of grip, even when drenched in sweat. On my second pair.
