I have to qualify first that I don't know much about hydraulic disc brakes so take this review with a grain of salt. My bike build was missing a rear brake so I purchased just the rear. Overall I'm quite satisfied with this kit. It comes with almost all you need, everything from the rotor to the lever/master cylinder. You may need to get an adapter for the caliper to attach to your bike. It is not included. Installation was quite easy, no surprises there. Everything fit perfectly. You also will need to get your own zip ties to attach the brake lines to your bike. The line seems a bit long but nothing too extreme. As for performance, prior to break-in, it's pretty soft but after a few rides, it starts to bite harder. Since this is a 6 inch system, the bite is not going to be as immediate as with an 8 inch system, but the difference is only fractions of a second slower. For light duty, this brake is more than adequate. Haven't tested it out yet on an extreme slope yet. One thing to note is that the lever requires a bit more travel than kits with larger master cylinders. Not sure if it is because mine need to be bled but I thought these were already bled from the factory. Upon full compression, the levers are nearly hitting the handle bars.
