PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Intense 951 Evo Price Point Pro Build Zee Bike

Here at Price Point we are doing everything we can to make sure your dream bike is within reach. Using our knowledge of the industry and volume pricing, we have created a build that saves money everywhere possible without skimping on quality to create this incredible value.

With the ability of 27.5-inch wheels to cover more ground and smooth the roughest sections of trail, applying them to a downhill bike seemed like the natural evolution of Intense Cycles' race-winning heritage.

The EVO was designed from the ground up around 27.5-inch wheels to utilize their improved rolling characteristics while retaining stable and predictable handling, and built in the USA at Intense Cycles' Southern California headquarters to ensure the strictest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

A slack 62.5-degree headtube angle inspires confidence at speed and on steeps, while 8.5 inches of patented VPP travel, a highly tunable Cane Creek Double Barrel coil shock and 27.5-inch wheels level anything standing between you and the finish line. Slung low between the larger wheels, a 13.75-inch bottom-bracket rides below axle height for improved cornering, and short 17.5-inch chainstays keep the rear end nimble and obedient.

Rigorously tested and refined by Intense in Southern California, the 951 EVO has consistently delivered faster and more efficient race runs than equally equipped and piloted 26-inch bikes.

Owned for 4 years - Apr 23, 2014

Denver, CO

I have owned the 26" version of this bike for roughly 4 years now and its bullet proof. The bike is ACUTALLY made in the USA unlike some other companies that like to pretend that their bikes are. I take the bike regularly to Winter Park, CO and have taken it to Whistler and many other resorts and its served me well. The rear triangle broke a few years back but Intense has a great customer service department and promptly sent me a new one and informed me that the old design flaws had been fixed. Great bike and great company and this build kit looks prime.
