The LEV DX is one of the latest drop seatpost innovations from Kind Shock. The LEV family is the only hydraulically locked, air sprung post to feature zero cable movement. Couple that with their patented and unmatched one way roller bearing to ensure miles of play-free movement. Then throw in a polycarbonate trigger/clamp and a micro adjustable head and you have a one of the best dropper posts available with up to 6 inches of drop. And it's a LEV!

Q: are the overall length measurements quoted for the specs fully compressed or full extended?
A: The length of the seat posts (335mm, 385mm, 435mm) is the length fully extended.
Q: where do i choose the lenght of the seat post? there are only two dropdown boxes; one for the drop (100,125,150) and another for the post size. there's no one for the lenght. I looking to buy a 385mm
A: There is no drop-down menu for length because it corresponds to how much travel you want. Seatposts with 100mm of travel are 335mm long; seatposts with 125mm of travel are 385mm long, and those with 150mm of travel are 435mm long.

Truly a disappointment. Setup was a hassle as the entire unit had to come apart to re-orient the cable routing. Then first ride and the small plastic junction box cover broke. KS was nice enough to provide me with a link to purchase it from a retailer.
It's the best post out there but it breaks down constantly. I've had mine for less than a year and have had to have the cartridge relaxed twice. I don't know if there is a post that works as good as the lev when it is functional and can hold up longer, but besides good performance maybe 30% of the time it is a disappointment.
Such an improvement on my already sweet Specialized Enduro. It makes drops and berms all tamable. The post will stick a little between uses but after putting weight on it it will work normal again. Minor creaks but as a "Clydesdale" I push the weight limit a bit.
I bought this post here for a great price to replace a Kronolog that I sent in to be factory refurbished. The KS lev DX was fairly easy to install and has a great action. However, after about 1 month it failed. When weighted it slowly sinks, not just 10-15mm but all the way down. to make matters worse it slowly would rise back up on its own. As i was out on a longer ride i disconnected the actuator thinking it must be pulling it a bit. no. it was not. I proceeded to ride the remaining 15 miles on a pogo stick. I do not recommend this post.
It is difficult to re-position the cable. KS has a tech video on YouTube that details the process. Specialized tooling is required, but I got by with my bike work stand and an old inner tube to replace the "soft jaws." There are no guide marks on the seat attachment for precise positioning (bummer). The mechanical actuation is really smooth...to my surprise (I had a fully hydraulic Rockshox Reverb previously). I'm happy with it.
I have owned this model for about a year, never failed, easy to install. Seals out the elements well, just unscrew the cap and wipe it up often, like any moving part on your suspension and it will last a long time. I would buy again.
Very reliable and smooth dropper post. If you want to change where the cable goes into the post you have to disassemble the whole thing unlike the original LEV. Built with cheaper looking materials compared to the regular LEV.
