Never before has five inches been so impressive.
With a whopping five inches of adjustability, the KS i900-R plunges to a depth usually reserved for deep sea submersibles. One press of the handle bar mounted remote lever and your seat is out of the way as in you can lean all the way to your rear tire and not touch leather.
The real highlight to KS i900-R's adjustability is that you can set the seat height wherever you like within the five-inch range. Drop it just a little or slam it till it bottoms out when the going gets rough.
For you detail-oriented types, the KS i900-R has a one-bolt, micro-adjust saddle clamp and should the need for replacement ever arise, the remote is actuated with a standard shifter cable.
A standard shift cable is all you need to actuate the i900's remote setup. A shift cable is all you need to actuate your front and rear derailleurs too. You know you'll be needing a couple for you next tune up, so why not stock up. Check out all our cable and housing options here.
This post rocks! It drops out into non-existence on the rocky steeps, and reappears on command in the transitions. I'm not sure how I've been able to get along without it for so long. I would have given it a 5 if it didn't stick when not used for a bit. But storing it in the dropped position between rides seems to help. After a few pre-ride compressions it's ready for the trail.
I'm a heavy rider 240#, and I've had no problems with this post. It also has setback, which is nice.
I love this accessoriy. For all the times I forgot to lower my seat before starting a gnarly downhill. This Jewel just works... Even making it easier to put two bikes on my bike rack. I am a big guy and I have had this for 3 years and hundreds of ride and it still works fine. Love it!
Purchased this in 2009 or 10. Love it so much I've purchased TWO LEV's in the past 6 months! The LEV works better...
I bought one of these about a month ago. I have never had a dropper post before and I am loving it. This manufacturer, KS, was recommended to me by a friend who builds bikes and am very impressed with it. The screw that clamps the remote to the handle bar was lost during a ride. It could have been my fault or a design flaw. I called the customer service and KS is sending me a new screw. Pros: Its an easy install and enhances the ride. KS has good customer service. Cons: Way heavier then a regular seat post, which is why its only getting 4 stars. I still think it is worth the extra weight.
