Better traction than other tires on all terrain
The Kenda Excavator folding bead tire is the best all terrain tire I've ridden to date. they won't slip in mud straight or cornering excellent in loose gravel / rocks along with a good rolling speed with 58 front 62 rear tire pressured they are relativity quiet on pavement dispite the aggressive tread I couldn't even get these tires to slide on tree roots on the trails I ride. These tires are well worth the price.
complete crap...they fold like a bad poker hand, i would not recommend them pinch flat first ride, and tires felt like they were going to roll out from under me on every corner. they are on sale for a reason...
I ride in rocky dry desert conditions in Arizona. I used to ride on nevegals but would knock off the outer knobs. These tires will last a lot longer but have a harsher ride. The key to these tires is to run them at a very low pressure compared to the nevegals.Try running them at 15 to 18 psi They will not role over like the nevegals and have great traction in sandy conditions.
I have ridden these tires for 2 years now and I love them. I used to use the Nevegal but I like these because they more durable. The tread is more conducive to the looser terrain and the outer knobs don't break away like the Nevegal's do for the type of XC riding I do.
Great tire for rocky desert trails. My old set of rubber was too soft and was chewed up in the rocky desert single track. This tire shows no sign of wear and grips great. I have only used it in dry conditions.
I got a 2.35 excavator on the back and a 2.35 nevegal on the front. This combo is amazing. I can't get them to slip in in dust and sand and They're amazing in mud. I would'nt ride them on much pavement though, don't want to lose the nobby godness of these things
Grip is so good it is too good, rolling resistance is high, but It gives a good work out (I have gotten to where I can keep 20mph for 1 mile) It looks great and I have not slipped yet (except on mossy rocks)
This tire is great for mud or maybe downhill riding. Has a lot of rolling resistance, and I'm not the only one who has said this, read it in other reviews. So I just purchased a set of K-rads since they sound to be a lot smoother less grippy
