I've had this tire on multiple bikes and it will outlast a maxxis holy roller any day of the week; much more abrasion resistant. Although slightly heavier, you shouldn't be buying this tire for weight. If you want a long lasting street tire that you can easily use as a rear for trail riding in a pinch, this is your tire.
I read the 2 reviews above, and bought 2 tires. They are everything they said it was! I have tried alot of tires over time, and I LOVE these best. First I tried pavement and it just glided over pavement like a street bike does. Next I went to my fave 10 mile trail through the woods. The tires did excellent on everything except in very loose sand, which was expected. Cornering was a breeze, climbing hills was easier. This is a tire with very very little resistance and I highly recommend as well!
k-rad is RAD! Traction on indoor park is excellent. great for dry trails too, decent grip considering the inverted semi slick design. Rolls so fast!
I bought these on sale for a dirt jumper that I'm building, but ended up throwing them on my XC ride just for giggles, as I use it to commute quite a bit during the week. These things are amazing! A bit on the heavy side, but I wasn't expecting anything less, more for urban/hard pack dirt jumping. I've put them both on my dirt jumper and XC rig, performing flawlessly. The high PSI rating (up to 80) make these butter smooth on asphalt and are big enough to soak up a lot of little things. Both the bikes just want to keep rolling, I've never felt anything like it except on my road bike. High speed cornering on the asphalt is a blast, plenty of steep lean street traction provides lots of confidence. Of course I switch out to my XC hoops on the weekends, but man, I just can't get over how silky smooth these are. I purchased these on sale, but after riding them, ordered another pair and would have paid full price. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the big balloony fun that this well constructed rubber can provide. I can't think of anything to dock them for. I would say weight, but they're not meant to be svelte. These would probably be great for a beach cruiser as well.
