FAST TIRE - Apr 18, 2014

I GOT THIS TIRE FOR MY WIFE'S BIKE, ROLLS GOOD AND FAST. NOT A GOOD TIRE TO CONVERT TUBELESS. IT WILL INFLATE FAST BUT SINCE IT'S SO THIN IT DOES NOT HOLD AIR VERY WELL. IT DEFLATES THE NEXT DAY. EVEN AFTER TWO 15 MILES RIDE ON IT ALREADY IT STILL LEAKS AIR.

Nice tire for riding dirt roads. Not so great on rocky trails. Smooth rolling though.

For hardback, flowy xc rides, this tire is it! Very light with low rolling resistance. So good in fact I use them for road runs. Well worth the money!!!!

Pros & Cons for the Klimax Lite - Mar 13, 2014

1 2 3 4
4 out of 5 stars
Daytona Beach, FL

Great tire . . . Great price . . . Great handling! Bad weight . . . Bad rubber . . . Bad sizing! Owning 8 pairs of WTB versus 2 pairs of Kenda's . . . There is an obvious reason! These Kenda Klimax provide some 'Instant-Satisfaction' . . . But after dropping my bike only 1 time, I now have a scuffed and exposed side-wall . . . But it is hardly noticeable. The tires perform best inflated above 50 psi . . . While the recommended inflation is at a stated 40 to 80 psi, on the side-wall . . . Sizing seems to be narrow . . . Traction is great for a tire sized at 26" x 1.9", with a rider weighing 240 pounds. Regardless . . . gram for gram or pound for pound . . . it is the best deal in a light weight tire with a PricePoint sale price at only $19.99 each. Best Regards, Adam

Kenda Klimax Review - Mar 03, 2014

I've been using these tires for years because they are fast and light. I ride on road and hard pack trails. Recommend you use a Slime liner because they are prone to flats due to thin casing.

Great for fast trails and commuting - Apr 27, 2013

SILVERTHORNE, CO

These tires are fast. I use them for commuting in spring and fall and at 70 psi they roll almost as fast as my road bike. I get about 1,000 miles on a set. I run studded tires for my commute during the winter. I recommend these for hard pack cross country trails (paved, dirt, flowing single track, cinders, etc.) where speed is a higher priority. They are light and spin up well. The side walls are super thin. There is not enough volume and the tire is too light for doing much on technical terrain (roots, rock gardens, steep sandy climbs, etc.). Definately don't run below the minimum pressure. I will buy another set
