Hard pack pleasure - Aug 11, 2014

I bought these tires to replace my Nev and Small Block 8 set up. The slat six is a good mix between both. The trails in my areas are mostly hard packed. They corner well, provide good traction on climbs with smooth rolling resistance. This tire is still flexible if you want to spend time on gravel or paved roads. The Slat 6 seemed to perform decent in loose sand but I have not spend a lot of time on sandy trails.

Good Tire - Jun 10, 2014

This tire is a very well put together tire for hardback conditions. The tire is surprisingly grippy for how little tread there is, on steep climbs it stays put on the ground and doesn't break free at all. Great overall summer/hard pack tire.

Amazing tire for No. IN trails - Jan 16, 2014

ELKHART, IN

I run the DTC folding version on the rear, paired w/ a SB8 up front (see p/r for that as well) on a hard tail alum frame in lieu of my f/s. I rode a relatively fast, easy trail aired up @ 40-45 psi. Trail composition is a mix of LOH & HP w/ shallow sandy spots throughout--in the climbs and long, shallow descents. In the dry conditions this tire never lost grip in the corners under the stress of my 280-lb self--even in some of the longer, sweeping sandier corners! And talk about fast: I didn't feel like I had to pedal to keep momentum; and they climb rather well, too. I never felt like I had to slow down before a turn to prevent grip loss, unlike the K-RADs I ran before on the same trail, bike, and conditions. Kenda hit the knob on the trailhead with this one!!!

a little thin - Sep 10, 2013

These tires seem to be thinner than most 2.35's that I run. Good rolling grip, but does not offer much for side grip. I have slid out numerous times on corners.
