Versatile tire for dry a climate - Sep 03, 2014

Las Vegas, NV

I have been running the front and rear for about a year, the tires are overall very good! Although best in dry packed (not mud) single track. They remind me of a bmx tire and having come from that background I fell in love with the predictably of the tire. They have handled everything from technical rocky climbs to flat dry packed single track. My only gripes would be weight, a bit porky, and they don't wear graciously. But none the less they are very well priced so I'll be one these for a while.

Good rear performance - Aug 22, 2014

4 out of 5 stars
BOCA RATON, FL

I decided to try this after running a Performance Bike Forte Tsali and having the sidewall give out after about six months. I ride in damp to dry conditions that include sand, hardpack, rocks, roots, and the occasional loamy area. I like the fast rolling profile, and this tire seems to stick well even on wet roots. Pressure is critical. I run it tubeless with Stan's at around 27-28 psi and that seems to be where it performs best. Not the best in mud but I would not expect that with the knobs being so low. In the sand it does surprisingly well. I run the 120tpi dual tread compound version and it grips well.

Kenda slant 6 - Good for rear wheel - Apr 28, 2014

CANTON, MI

Had slant 6s on both frt and rear. Didn't grip trail well enough in front for me not to worry coming into fast corners. Works well in rear for speed and no problem climbing. Good setup on rear paired with a more aggressive front tire.

Good bridge between Nevegal & Small Block 8 - Apr 13, 2014

Phoenix, AZ

I've been using the Slant 6 as a rear tire for about 18mo. Nearly all rocky desert trails. I'm happy with it, and it bites better than the tread looks like it will. Lower pressures help too. It's a sticky tire, so it wears out faster than some other tires with harder rubber, but I think it's a good trade off. Plus it's cheaper than most of the competition. I have had a few spinouts punching up looser climbs, but none while sitting and spinning.

SLANT SIX 29er - Apr 05, 2014

San Antonio, TX

These tires came stock on my Orbea Alma. They are pretty decent tires. Awesome grip on hardpack and cornering. Not the best on rocks, but the sidewalls have held up great. Where I ride there are lots of sharp and jagged rocks. Tread lasted for a decent while as well. Very easy to set up tubeless.

They don't slant well... - Aug 28, 2013

1 2
2 out of 5 stars
AUSTIN, TX

This is the stock tire on my Elsworth. I ran with Rocket Rons and really liked the performance, but I ripped the sidewalls on rocky terrain. I put these on and I'd give them a "C" for average performance. They don't do well on wet limestone, sand or mud. They are also lacking in good climbing bite in loose, rocky climbs. The Rons hooked up much better by comparison, and I have to slow down a lot in corners now. They just don't feel confident in turns, and the front drifts. I'm currently shopping for their replacement. I will say, the Slant seems to have good construction and the sidewall has held up on the rocks so far. The large volume helps as well. Good for maybe urban assault.

Awesome tire for hardpack - May 30, 2013

Cupertino, CA

This tire came stock on Razzo X9 and I am really happy about it. It is alot like the racing ralph however the wider outer nobs allow you to corner better and this tire climbs alot better. It is easy to mount tubeless and has a long wear life. Will definitely buy more of these.

Slant Six Wear and Performance - May 29, 2013

Dallas, TX

The tire arrived on time as promised in good condition with its original packaging. The Slant Six provides good grip for both steering and climbing traction. The usable wear life is approximately 400 miles hardpack/loose mix with 15 percent of the mileage being concrete path.

Kenda Slant Six - May 28, 2013

1 2 3 4
4 out of 5 stars
Bethel Park, PA

This tire came on my Sette Razzo X7. So far the tire has been okay. All the trails I ride are in Western PA that are comprised of clays, roots, and rocks. Almost all the trails are wet whether it is raining or not. When I have traction these tires roll fast and stick well on drier surfaces. Once you begin riding in the wet clay, everything goes down hill. Its frequent that I find myself spinning out on most of my climbs. I would like them better if they could shed some mud. The mud seems to stay on the tire until I brush them off. I am giving them a four because they should work well in drier hard packed areas, but they sadly came on the bike.

Kenda Slant Six - May 18, 2013

1 2 3 4
4 out of 5 stars
Bethel Park, PA

This tire came on my Sette Razzo X7. This tire is horrible for mud. This can be seen from the design, you can visually tell it will work best on hard packed surfaces. Sadly were I ride those rarely exist. I have lost traction or spun out more than I like too. The tire is poor at wicking away the mud. I have to let the mud harden than ride on a hard surface (concrete/ asphalt) to clean it. It is not entirely the tire's fault as it seems it is more for drier conditions. If your riding takes place with any amount of mud do not buy this tire. Hope this helped. I am giving it a four because of the philosophy of use. I am sure that if I used this tire in a drier area it would preform well. It would be a better tire if it wouldn't clump the mud on.
