I bought it on sale and its an amazing jump fork. I've owned a manitou sherman and a rock shock pike before and the Circus is my favorite of all of them. Its a stiff fork regardless of the lock out option, which is an amazing feature. Way less maintenance than the pike, and more adjustability than the sherman. Even the comp version of this fork is great, it never really requires maintenance and takes a beating.
Haven't had the chance to ride it yet, currently in the process of building the bike, out of the box it looks awesome, good weight, solid hardware and good graphics. I've had Manitou forks in the past and loved them. Thought I was getting the fork as pictured but was the 2013 model, so more than stoked on the purchase especially with the sale price. Price Point rocks as far as shipping, ordered on a Wednesday and had it by Saturday (I live In california) thanks Price Point, I'll be doing more business with you.
Bought this to replace the SRS pogo stick that came on my MTB. This for is very tunable for various ride environments, though some of the tuning requires the fork be disassembled, but it's not that big of a deal for me anyways. I can do front wheel manuals and don't feel like the fork is going to fold; the 36mm uppers do their job; I don't feel much flex from the fork when mounting walls, benches or whatever when balancing up on the front wheel or pulling myself up by the front wheel. The aluminum steer of the 'Circus Expert' has more flex to it than the last steer I was using. This flex, with an improperly lubed(by LBS) headset preload-ring was causing the headset and steer to produce a clicking and popping sound with torque to either side of the bars, or the frame. Upon inspection I found there was no grease on the steer where the preload ring will press against the steer. The lack of grease was causing the steer and ring to rub, causing unwanted sound. Adding grease to the inside of the preload ring of the headset removed the sound of the steer and preload ring rubbing against each other. Hope this is useful.
Not only the best price I could find this fork, but I bought this under the impression I was getting the 2012 model in the picture. I was wrong! Pricepoint sent me the 2013 model !!! They also checked into the change of my billing address most likely to make sure my card wasn't stolen and being used. Definitely a killer deal for arguably one of the best DJ forks on the market. Oh and they also gave me a few free stickers =) Not a purchase I regret at all!
