Spend your money else where than this rim. I've had problems with the rims staying true and it's not from jumping or hitting things. The cones and hubs I had to constantly have serviced because they won't roll without resistance, and it feels like your pushing a plow with every pedal. Then after only 100 miles one of the cones failed and made the bike feel like it had a headset problem.

Can't beat the price - Jun 07, 2014

I've had my wheelset since the fall and I have been amazed of the quality. The hubs spin for ever and are just as smooth as Chris king hubs. I'm 14 and about 100 pounds but don't get discouraged by this. I have entered many dh races and many dirt jumps and drops offs with these wheels and they remained true the whole time. I ride pretty hard on bikes too. Why spend more on a wheelset. I did notice that the rear wheel tends to get loose spokes every now and then but other than that it's a solid buy.

Impressed - May 01, 2014

I was looking for a stiff, light wheelset for a disc brake conversion on my old Big Sur hardtail and these worked great! Not as much to brag about on the "lightweight" side, but for $299 they were light enough. I'm 240 lbs running these on a 21" frame, so they see plenty of stress, and so far I'm very impressed with the design, durability, and build quality of these wheels. Like the rest of the reviews say, hard to beat this wheelset for the money.

I have always liked Mavic wheels. Every pair I've had has been solid. They stay true and roll smoothly. These are a great value. The only down-side is this model is a bit heavy.

Great wheels for the price - Apr 23, 2014

This is a review for the 2013 model. I bought these on sale as a bundle wheel tire cassette and disk combo package for $250 and I could not be happier with them. They're much lighter than my stock wheel set and track straighter. There's probably much better wheels out there, but for the price you cant beat these.

excellent wheels for the money - Apr 21, 2014

This review is actually for the 2013 model. But I don't think they have changed at all. I admit, I bought these wheels because I was building up a frame on the cheap and these were a steal on sale. However, I have now been riding them for nearly a year--and I am impressed! After much abuse and poor line choice, these have stayed absolutely true. The bearings are butter smooth, and they weigh less than you would think a $200 set of wheels should. My only complaint is that they are a bit flexy. Not to noticeable in the rear--but the front will sometimes rub fork when really horking on bars while climbing or occasionally in hard turns--still, they are a bargain for the price!

Bullet Proof - Apr 16, 2014

Dollar for dollar these cannot be beat. I weigh in at just over 200 pounds suited up and I bought these for my hard tail. I have a set of CrossMax on another bike and wanted to compare. I was AMAZED at how light and stiff and strong these wheels are. So far I have about 200 miles of rocks, roots, drops and climbs on them and there were times that I banged over roots so hard my jaw rattled. Still these wheels are perfectly true. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they are about 1/4-1/2cm taller than a CrossMax which slightly reduces tire size on tighter rear frames.
