PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Maxxis Advantage 26 inch Folding Tire

Alison Dunlap designed the Advantage as a high volume aggressive cross country tire that maintains cornering grip with big side-knobs. It also climbs and brakes with authority thanks to the opposing parallelogram center tread design. Ramped center knobs keep rolling resistance minimal and the wide lug spacing sloughs mud off like it's going out of style.

  • Revolutionary tread design increases ease of climbs and decreases braking distance
  • Tread design minimizes rolling resistance
  • Available in a variety of sizes from 2.1 in.

Hungry tires, love to eat anything - Jun 06, 2014

Emporia, KS

I have had these for a year and a half and put a couple hundred miles on them. The local trails here are single track with varying terrain. Rocks, roots, hard pack, leaves, branches, they eat it all up. I rode the trails at Clinton Lake near Lawrence KS last October a day after it rained. The tires packed up with leaves and dirt but still maintained traction after 10+ miles of riding. Too bad they don't have them in a 29", I would buy them if I ever bought a 29er.

Good dry, rocky riding tire - Sep 10, 2013

Canton, GA

Picked up a pair of these tires mainly for the dry, rocky areas here in the Southeast. Rode them recently at Tsali and they hooked up great in the exposed areas where the rocks were plentiful. On hard pack terrain, they have a little bit of rolling resistance but the real strength lies in the corner grip of these tires. If a good cornering tire is needed, these would be the ones to get.
