Mirrycle MTB Bar End Black Mirror
The Mountain Mirrycle mounts in minutes with the wrench that is included. The convex mirror with its wide field of view is adjustable to any viewing angle.
This mirror is well-articulated and stays in place like a champ once adjusted. It is way better than a helmet or glasses-mounted setup. My only beef is that it widens the bike to an unacceptable width for commuting. I have mine mounted under the handlebar, which makes it harder to see but allows me to ride between cars when necessary.
After my 3rd commute on my Trek FX 7.9, I added an accessory to prevent serious injury or fatality while riding in the city traffic voted 5th meanest drivers in the country. Turning around to see traffic approaching was also causing my bike to swerve further into the lane and when done to a mean driver, they cuss or honk or both. This is a MIRROR, I mean, it's kind of GIANT. But that also means I don't just see my elbows or body, I see the cars, all of the cars coming up from behind without turning my head at all. I'm sure it depends how you adjust yours, but I felt so so so much safer in just the tiny 15 minute ride from the bike shop that installed it. Retails for $19.99 but they didn't charge me to install it, so I'm cool with that. I do have to remove from m cart now however.
Nice mirror, I bought two, good thing because my bike fell over and the broke the first one. The mirrors are made of glass but plastic will crack too. I might try relocating it inside the end of the bars. Right now i'm using it below and outside the bars on the left side.
