NINER TECHNOLOGY

Because the lower swingarm linkage is located underneath the bottom bracket, chain torque in any chainring effectively neutralizes the unwanted forces that degrade power transfer to the rear wheel.

Rather than just offering the same carbon products, Niner makes sure they are maximizing the benefits of the material so that their carbon products are purpose-built from the ground up.

The basic concept of the larger diameter is simple: it will keep your wheels on top of oncoming obstacles. Rather than riding IN the terrain, you'll be riding ABOVE it, gaining more control and stability on even the roughest trails.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Niner JET 9 Carbon XT/SLX Moondust Exclusive MTB

Here at Price Point, we are always looking for ways to make sure you get the best possible bike for the lowest possible price. Our buyers have pulled out all the stops to create an exclusive world class build with a price tag so low it will leave our competition scratching their heads wondering how we did it. Take advantage of this incredible offer before it's too late 'cause nothing this good lasts forever.

The Jet 9 Carbon is a great looking, versatile XC bike with 29 inch wheels and 100mm of travel. Did I mention it's made out of carbon fiber? It's like the Formula 1 race car of the mountain bike world. And while it can't reach speeds of 200+ MPH, both Formula 1 and Niner use carbon fiber to minimize weight and maximize strength. The 100mm CVA suspension can handle weekend races and trail riding without a problem - and without breaking the bank. After riding the Jet 9 Carbon, the guys at Bike Magazine described it as "...truly an eye opener."

The Jet 9 Carbon frame features the same geometry and handling characteristics as the Jet 9 RDO. It builds into a lightweight, XC masterpiece that will entice you to get out from behind your desk and out on the trail whenever possible. Hopefully your boss will understand.

  • 100mm of CVA suspension
  • Compatible with 100 - 120mm forks
  • 135mm QR Rear spacing
  • PF30 bottom bracket

Showing Questions 1-2 of 2

Q: Is this is 2013 version? What is the stem length on a size large? Can you confirm the make/model of the rear shock? What kind of Shimano hubs are used? Are they centerlock or 6 bolt? What is clamp diameter for the handle bars? How many MM of spacers are on the steerer tube on a size large?

A: This is the 2013 model. The stem on a size large would be 80mm. The rear shock is Fox Float CTD Evo Series. The hubs are 6 bolt patter. The clamp diameter of the handle bars is 31.8. There will be 20-30mm of steer tube spacing on a large.

Q: Are the wheels (hoops) TCS ready?

A: These wheels are not tubeless ready but can be set up with a tubeless conversion system.

This is an incredible value- considering the frame alone should cost $2K. The frame is great, very light and rigid. The positioning of the rear brake line can be annoying as it will hit your calfs sometimes. Not a big deal. Drive train is excellent. The front fork is ok, hard to get adjusted properly though. The brakes are NOT good, very low spec and have no modulation. The brakes make lots of noise. If you switch these out, you'll be very happy! Overall I am very

Somewhat skeptical when it came to 29ers. I was a diehard 26 rider bouncing off roots and rocks. Then I rented a FS 29er and it turned me to the dark side. When this niner went on sale I couldn't resist. Full suspension, carbon frame and nice components for under $3k....had to do it. What a ride and I am minutes faster on my local trails.
