ODI has enlisted the help of their good friends over at Troy Lee Designs to help put an artistic spin on a quality design. After hundreds of drawings and designs, they developed the most innovative grip yet. Troys the kind of guy that will make you throw all of your conventional processes out the window in order to make something for the World's Fastest Racers. With that, ODI introduces the ODI / TROY LEE DESIGNS LOCK-ON MOUNTAIN BIKE GRIP. Quality and Innovation that can only be found by combining two World Leaders.
You can't just mount these grips to the stem! You need an intermediary device! Lock on to some Flat MTB Handlebars today.
These grips have an excellent and secure feel to them. The TLD ones are a bit more than the regular ODI Ruffian, however, the color selection was nicer and gives it a unique look. I would get these again for my other bike when I'm ready to replace those grips.
I bought these grips last summer and love them. The rubber is soft and grippy but not sticky like some other grips I've tried. They have locks on both ends so they do not twist at all. They're also durable. They are showing very little sign of wear too. I definitely recommend these grips to anyone looking for a new pair.
A little difficult to get the clamps on but once on the grips went on super easy. Feel great, yellow grips are highlighter yellow, look great.
It is so much easier to take these off of your handlebars than the regular style grips. I really like the raised edge on the grip to because it adds a little security. The seems very thin on the grips but they are still very comfortable.
These grips are awesome. They are easy to install and look great in whatever color you get. I got the red ones and they are about worn out so i will be purchasing another pair soon. These grips are definitely worth the money, i believe they are the best lock on grips out there. If your looking to get some awesome grips dont hesitate to buy these.
I purchased these grips to replace another brand. The other brand looked nice but the hex clamp bolts stripped out in the hex head. what a PITA that was. I got these in black and silver and love them I change out bars alot and also adjust/dial in my cock pit more than most. The hex bolts have yet to strip and still look brand new. Also these are very comfortable and stay looking nice even after small crashes.
Cool color range i got yellow which gets dirty pretty quick. but other than that they are sick, good grip feel
These grips are solid. Easy to install, super secure, look awesome. They are grippy and comfy, although i may go with thicker ones next time. Mine are a bit chewed up from crashing a couple times at the indoor park, but i guess plywood will do that, and theyre pretty grippy so its to be expected.
Super Comfy. Been on bike for eight months now holding up well.
You just cant beat how easy to install and how secure these grips are. They install in minutes and are rock solid on the bars. Plus the color options are a super easy way to add some still to your bike. Will definitely purchase more ODI grips in the future.
I think every bike I own currently has some version of ODI grips. Their lock on design is easy to install, grips well, and makes control changes a cinch. The TLD's were one of my favorites until I switched to the Rogue, the larger size seems a little better for my carpal-abused mitts. The Troy's are grippy, decent wearing (mine had visible wear after a year or so) and I liked the little flares. I had the white, which got pretty dingy but hey, it's white. The TLD's are a little softer than the Rogue's IMHO. Better grip, but shorter wear. I've smashed the end caps against numerous rocks and never broke one or had trouble removing. Having the clamps be standard for the brand was a bonus when I was swapping clamps and grips around. Overall, a great product if you want a slightly smaller grip that (with the flares) is a tiny bit unique.
Had these for about a month and I love them. Bought the red and black and the red doesn't look old used. I like the feel of the compound , I use them with and without gloves.
I would have given these grips 5/5 except for the fact that they wear out sort of fast. I guess it will depend on how hard you ride with them and wearing gloves probably accelerates the process with the extra grip but mine are pretty beat up after about 6 months of riding. I still love them though! Most of the wear is on the half flanges on the ends; they are starting the tear from that point. Some of the grip is also starting to wear away as well towards the middle. I like them so much though and can usually get a good deal here on price point that I will still probably be buying another pair despite having to replace them more often. They are the perfect diameter allowing me to get a good grip feel and still maintain 1-finger braking. If you are going to move to lock-on grips, ODI is the standard and make install a sinch. I would definitely recommend these to somebody and its a bonus that they come in so many colors.
These grips feel great, they are pretty thin but still have a cushy feel, they have very good grip with gloves. I got the red and black version and it looks amazing, the red is very bright, the lock-ons make these grips so easy to put on and off, lock-ons are the only type of grips I run on my mountain bike.
Best grip I have ever used. Had them 3 months. Great feel. Great traction. The cuts in the rubber really help the grip. The material is durable but has some give too. The little end ribs allow you to extend the grip a bit and change a bit for a climb. I am ordering more today. The best! Joe
Bought the pink grips with black rings for my girlfriend's bike. They are an awesome bright pink. She loves them. The grips are super tacky and comfortable too. They definitely have a more rubber-like feel to them and aren't as hard as other grips I've used. Despite that they haven't shown signs of any fast wear yet. They seem like they'll hold up well. I like them much better than my ODI Ruffians. I may have to order a black set for myself.
These are great grips. I have had mine for over 2 years and they will probably need to be replaced in a year or so. But they have stood up really well and I have gotten great grip with them. I would maybe do without the outside flap and I would also not use them without gloves. Otherwise great grips
