Pearl Izumi Select Short Finger Glove
Comfort Bridge padding and their Easy-Off Glove Removal Tab combine to deliver benchmark cycling glove performance with their Men's SELECT Glove.
Pearl Izumi is my second favorite glove manufacturer behind Shimano, and I couldn't pass these up at the price I got them at. I had gotten a horribly oversized Large pair of private label crochet short finger gloves from one of the major online bike stores, and they were so big and loose that I wasn't comfortable using them on an upcoming 4-hour race I was preparing for, so I picked these up in a size large. The last pair of Pearl Izumi gloves I picked up were winter gloves in a size large that fit like a glove. I was hoping these would be similarly sized, but found them almost a bit too snug for comfort. That said, wearing them for four hours straight without issue on my long distance ride dispelled any major concerns I have about them. The gloves are fairly nice, but don't have as much padding as some other gloves. That and the less than perfect sizing are why I'm only giving them four stars. At the price I paid, I'm very satisfied and would gladly buy them again. M
Really like these gloves. Padding is just enough to help absorb the pounding my hands take on my rigid 29er. Small size is a little snug, but should stretch a little over time.
Good gloves for the price. Pretty comfy and breathable so my hands don't get sweaty. Padding is sufficient.
I recently purchased a pair of these gloves for my road rides and they are a great glove for the price. The only drawback is that there is no removal loop.
Pearl Izumi makes great gloves, these are no exception. They are actually slightly smaller than other Large Pearl Izumi gloves I've bought (full length finger cold weather gloves) and fit snug as a result. Not too snug, but possibly worth mentioning that my pair ran a bit smaller than expected, and a bit smaller than other Pearl Izumi gloves I've worn.
I got hit by a car and my hands hit the ground pretty hard no cuts or scrapes on my hands and the gloves are still in tact. Also make riding very comfortable as the padding takes the pressure of your hands.
Bought this pair of gloves to replace an antique pair I used to wear. I have used them in recreational riding for about 250 miles. They are very light weight, seem durable, with good feel. The first pair I received had a manufacturing defect (thumb hole on the right glove was too small), but the replacement pair had no problems. Overall, a great value for the price.
I have used many gloves from Pearl Izumi and every one of them was excellent. they are comfortable and have good durability and most of all good price! I recommend.
These gloves fit well and feel very comfortable on the hand. They seem to be well made and breathable too.
These are my favorite pair of short finger gloves. Padded where it matters and has the classic Pearl Izumi feel. Fits true to size and easy on the wallet!
