Price Point 700c Presta Light Tube
Price Point light mountain bike tubes are manufactured in the same facilities as more expensive name brands, but sold exclusively to Price Point. Tested and inspected to ensure they meet industry specifications at a fraction of the cost.
If you're looking for decent tubes that don't break the bank, look no further. These tubes definitely are not the lightest, but if you're just looking for tubes that work, these fit the bill. Between the riding mileage me and my husband put in, and the flats we get, it doesn't make sense to buy $10 high performance tubes. The only failure on these tubes we have experienced -- aside from road puncture flats -- is a leak at the valve stem and tube. I believe this was caused by running the silver nuts and tightening them down too much, which put pressure on the valve stem and 'pulled' it away from the tube. We ditched those silver nuts and so far have no had the problem reoccur. Word of caution: This version with the 35mm valve stem was a little tight fit on my deep-V rims, so if you rim deep dish rims, you may want to look at the long valve (60mm) version. Value for money, these are 5/5.
Like other folks are saying they are good tubes and dont break the bank. I also had an issue with a air leak in one. Nothing major just had to reinflate every two days. Then again i got these for free from a friend so i cant complain to much.
I buy these tubes in bulk so I don't have to pay twice as much at bike shops. They are as good as any tubes in the same price range.
These tubes are good quality and a great value when you get them on sale. I use them on my wife's commuter bike and they work just as well as any other tube.
The price is good but you get what you pay for. Had one that just sprang a leak for no reason. On the up side the more expensive tube are not that much better.
I typically buy 5 or 10 of these at the beginning of every season. You just cant beat the value, especially when they offer bundle packs! One word of caution: The stems are short - make sure you get the long stems if you have deep rims.
