As part of Pure Fix's FGFS (Fixed Gear Free Style) Series, the Chief looks like a BMX bike, but is in reality a fixed gear road bike with BMX-style handlebars. Pure Fix developed the Chief with the freestyle crowd in mind and designed the bike to be strong enough to withstand all of the jumps, wheelies and bar spins that are typically associated with freestyle riders. With a 4130 Chromoly frame and fork, the Chief can handle all of the abuse, and then some. And because it comes with a flip-flop hub, the Chief can be easily converted from a fixed gear bike into one that freewheels, allowing a rider to coast if he or she no longer feels like pedaling all of the time.
