Ritchey WCS Carbon Evolution Drop Bar
The Carbon Evolution sits squarely in the middle between a classic round bar and the newer wing style bars. The diameter of the top of the bar is just slightly larger and slightly ovalized compared to a standard round bar. The reason for this is more comfort. In addition to the evolved profile the tops of the bars have a 3 degree backsweep to put your hands in a more natural position when climbing in the tops.Like the other carbon bars in the WCS series, the Carbon Evolution features 3K carbon monocoque construction and offers excellent vibration characteristics along with an exceptionally low weight, tipping the scale at just 231 grams.
The Carbon Evolution has a 31.8mm clamp area and features special textured material to prevent the bars and shifters from slipping. A single cable groove is molded into the underside of the bar for clean cable routing.
Ritchey bars are measured center-to-center. The Carbon Evolution has a drop 131mm and a reach of 84mm throughout the range.
Be sure to follow the manufacturer's torque specs when installing this bar.
