These Signature Shorts are designed for those who need a pro level short that is super light yet tough enough to handle mother nature. The Signature Shorts have DWR coating and excellent moisture management properties. Tried, tested, and approved by the Royal Racing R&D Department and still going strong.
I bought this after I read the hyped up reviews it got and was a bit disappointed. It is a great product hands down, but it has some downsides that I wasn't expecting for the price. The liner is great, light, flexible and breathes well but the padding is too thin. No gel. I own way cheaper riding underwear that are a lot more comfortable. The short is great and I like the material. I went with the XL and the liner is just shy of being tight on my thighs and loose at the abdomen, though I guess everyone's different and this won't be an issue for most. Also the short is a bit heavier than I expected given what I read about it. Still a cool product though and I wouldn't trade it. I will be more skeptical when reading reviews from now on.
5'10 195 and got Larges and they fit well. So far these have been great shorts, they are extremely comfortable and look great. They are not too long nor too short, they are just right. The zipped pockets are great for carrying your phone or any small tools.
Great fit. They fit slim, but are not restricting. The buckle is durable, and the velcro is strong. They breath really well, important here in the desert.
I picked a pair up earlier in the week and only have had a chance to wear 'em once, but I came away from it with a reasonable impression on how they fit and work. Firstly, they're lighter than I expected, which especially right now in this heat(was 100deg here today in Kalifornistan-Southern Seksion). Secondly, the material flexes so well that I at least don't remember even thinking about 'em once the entire ride. That usually doesn't happen with me. Be it the shorts migrate in some fashion, I gotta pull up the waist, or make some kind of adjustment. Come to think of it, I have a set of Pearl Izumi's(if that's even spelled correctly), that are made of what seems like the same material(and similar color), and they're the ONLY other pair of shorts that fit so well, and are comfortable to the point where I forget about em on the ride-completely To summarize...fit well and true to size(at least with me), are light and cool well, and lastly they're uber comfortable
