Sram PC-991 Chain with Powerlink Gold 2013
Delivering light weight, strength and smoothness to your drivetrain. BlackBox racers know - SRAM PowerChain is designed to stand up to the toughest courses and competitors. From the convenient PowerLink connectors that eliminate the need for tools to the GLEITMO lube that protects against dirt and friction, these chains set the standard for durability and reliability.
SRAM's extremely strong and precise chain technology. The PowerChain II is optimized for increased front and load shifting performance while retaining excellent rear shifting precision. The Step2 riveting process increases the Push Pin Power to provide increased strength and durability.
Replacement for a worn out PC 991 chain. I use this chain on all my road and mountain bikes. Smooth shifting and durable, the Powerlink makes removing the chain without tools possible. Shifts as good as more expensive chains, it's just a few grams heavier.
I have been relying on Sram chains since 8 speed drivetrains. The PC 991 is one of the most trustworth chains that don't kill you cassettes, chains rings, and jockey wheels. Really fast install with the quick-link system. I am going to hate the day that it's discontinued for chains at double the price.
This is a good chain, just like all the SRAM chains I have used. Works great with shimano or any other 9-speed drivetrain.
Had to replace my old chain from my last rear derailleur scuttle, had twisted the old one in some rocks on a hairy tumble. I've had this puppy on for a few months now and have beat it around like a rented mule. It was easy to instal and so far very easy to maintain.
Love the Sram powerlink! Makes maintenance so much easier once the chain is installed. Just make sure when originally breaking your chain for proper fit to leave an inner link on the end to mate with the powerlink.
Super tough chain that has held up to a season of rock gardens and aggressive free riding. Highly recommend the PC991 to anyone looking for an inexpensive top quality product.
This has been a great chain that I have been using for the past few years and it's still running on my bike after over 1000 mountain biking miles. Powerlink is fantastic as well, something that Shimano chains don't have.
