Like the previous reviewer, I started biking on Shimano drivetrain components. For mountain biking, I have XT and XTR derailleurs. Man, I can't tell you how often those would go out of adjustment. The shifting was okay but I knew there had to be something better. Made the switch to SRAM XO with a new bike over 7 years ago and was shocked. Perfect shifting and stays in adjustment no matter what. I know Shimano has recently copied the SRAM designs into their new systems. However, way too late for me. SRAM seems way ahead in almost everything drivetrain related!

I started riding with Sram went to Shimano and now back to Sram. The XO product is extremely precise, crisp and clean in it's shifting. I have been riding the XO product in a harsh environment since 2011 and have not even changed shifting cables. It still shifts clean, wet or dry.
