The SRAM X9 Trigger shifter is durable and easy to use. A nice thing with the SRAM X-9 Trigger shifter is that you're "all thumbs" when shifting. That is, you actuate both the up and down shift with your thumb, rather than thumb and forefinger -- a plus when you want to keep fingers on the brake levers more easily.

Q: Presently have shimano 9 speed shifters. Can I use these as replacements? Thx.
A: No, SRAM shifters will not work with Shimano rear derailleur due to pull ratio differences.
Q: Does this have the ball bearing mechanism. Thanks. Looks to be different in picture than based on SRAM website for x9.
A: These shifters are in fact the updated ball bearing pivot design from SRAM.
Q: Would this shifter work with the SRAM x9shifter item number 104 SRAD93?
A: Yes this shifter and derailleur combination will work.
I've used SRAM for years they have great reliable products. I also like that they are always innovating. Bringing us hammerschmidt and 11 speed drive trains... I'd rather support a company that does that than one that just does the same old thing.
I bought the rear shifter to complete my 1x9 swap and i couldn't be happier! Like usual with sram you get a quality product that is simple and works without a hitch. Clean crisp shifts every time and the install is easy.
